The Gross Stabil PC2-40S 40-Inch Scott Phillips Parallel Clamp consists of 1-5/32-by-13/32-inch galvanized steel rails with a 3-1/2-inch throat depth and 40-inch nominal length for 1100 pounds of clamping force and 5-1/2-by-1-3/4-inches of clamping area. This German-made clamp consists of polyamide 6.6 (nylon) and 1A plastic reinforced with 50-percent long-fiber fiberglass, with steel inserts in the jaws for added strength and support. It also includes a molded wooden and painted handle that comfortably fits most grips and a removable foot pad easily reverses the parallel clamp into a spreader. Durable plastic clamping pads, spindle, steel rail, and internal parts are all replaceable.
